All Explorers at Stannington are expected to attend meetings wearing an Explorer shirt, which you can purchase from the Scout Shop on Trippet Lane in Sheffield. They also need a necker, in fact 2 neckers. As previously mentioned we are a District group so need to have the green and grey District necker whenever we attend District events.

On a Stannington event  (normal meetings and trips out) it is expected that Explorers wear the Stannington red and double blue necker.

Many Explorers choose to wear both neckers to show their loyalty to both Unit and District.

Wearing a woggle is a personal choice, friendship knots are an alternative way to keep your necker together.

We will provide badges as and when they need them, Explorers should make sure they sew these on promptly. Please see the members zone for the guide of where to put them.

We wear our formal shirts for the start and end of each evening at the Scout Hut and, for the rest of the night, casual wear is recommended.

When it comes to hikes and weekends away, we have some equipment available to lend out, but this is limited and it is generally better if Explorers have their own kit, that they are familiar with. An example kit list is available in the members zone.
